  • Prior to attending training, trainees are required to have access to an ADOS-2 manual.
  • ADOS-2 kits and manuals are available through Western Psychological Services at 1-800-648-8857 or at https://www.wpspublish.com/ados-2-autism-diagnostic-observation-schedule-second-edition.

  • Explain Use of the ADOS-2 in Diagnostic Assessment of ASD
  • Explain the administration of modules 3 and 4
  • Revise Module 3/4 codes
  • Apply the coding explained on the watched videos
  • Discuss coding results and review administration of modules 3 and 4
  • Review scoring from Module 3 or 4 video. Complete algorithm
  • Explain the administration of modules 1 and 2
  • Discuss the administration of modules 1 and 2
  • Demonstrate ADOS-2 modules 1 and 2 administration with videos as an example.
  • Review scoring from Module 1 or 2.
  • Apply the coding explained on the watched videos
  • Explain Psychometrics & appropriate use of the ADOS-2
  • Describe clinical Diagnosis of ASD in Toddlers
  • Explain the administration and coding of the Toddler module
  • Demonstrate ADOS-2 Toddler module administration with videos as an example
  • Review scoring from Module T video
  • Apply the coding explained on the watched videos
  • Explain psychometrics and appropriate use of Module T
  • Discus administration, Codes, and Diagnostic Algorithms
  • Discuss doubts about the contents learned

About the trainer

Dr. Whitney Ence

Dr. Whitney Ence (licensed psychologist), is a certified ADOS-2 trainer. She is the Director of Clinical Services at The UCSF Center for ASD & NDDs. She specializes in evidence-based behavioral treatments and assessment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neurodevelopmental disorders. She conducts diagnostic evaluations, school consultations, and parent management training, and also provides individual, group, and family therapy services. She has advanced training in Applied Behavior Analysis, Pivotal Response Training, Structured Teaching, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She is also certified in PEERS, an evidence-based social skills group treatment for adolescents and young adults with ASD. Her research interests include investigating comprehensive behavioral interventions for ASDs and evaluating best practices in parent training.
